Perspective Switches: Money and Value

I had the great pleasure of taking a walk in the woods than having dinner with Clayton Olson the other night. (Next time’s on me, amigo!)

We shared a fantastic, deep conversation on a wide range of topics.

Many moments stand out but one was particularly great and I thought I’d share it with you here.


There once was a coach whose services required an investment of $2500 for an hour-long consultation.

One day, that coach adjusted his rates to $5000 for this meeting.

When confronted by a potential client, “Hey! The last time I looked your rate was $2500. Now it’s $5K. Did you seriously just double your rate?!?!”

The coach replied, “No… I doubled my value.”
