To Get Great at Anything, You Have to Commit

Man wearing a hat and green shirt doing rock climbing.

I remember when I first started climbing.

At the time, I was a fairly accomplished, sponsored road and mountain cyclist and worked at a catalog company that sold high-end bike stuff.

My days were COMPLETELY taken up by all things bike.

I rode to work.

Thought about, talked about, wrote about, and designed ads and catalogs about bikes all day.

I went for a training ride after work every day and rode bikes on the weekends.

Bikes, bikes, bikes.

But I wanted more.

I wanted to be able to enjoy a variety of activities – not just be a cyclist.

So I quit racing and started climbing.

And for a time, I immersed myself in climbing.

I found that dabbling only got me so far.

I wanted to get GOOD.

And the same goes for your marketing.

To get good at anything, you have to do THAT thing.

So find your niche, your channel, your theme, your passion, and GET COMMITTED.

Greatness will follow.

And if it’s marketing, let us know if you would like help with that as well.
