Contribute to the World

A cozy windowsill with small plants on wood pieces, a round stone, and a yellow candle in a glass holder, overlooking a natural landscape.

When wandering around the woods, one pretty frequently stumbles upon old “stuff” that was discarded years ago by the mining community.

I like to grab these items and turn them into something useful.

This removes some trash from the landscape and creates a new use for something that otherwise would continue to contaminate the landscape.

These planters were made from several found objects, including a couple of old rough-cut 2x4s and a can of beans (or something).

What did you contribute to the beautification of the world today (either by picking up something discarded or making something new… or both!)?

Bonus question: What did you do today to help beautify the world — by picking up something discarded, making something new, or both? We’d love to hear about it. Feel free to drop us a line.
