Did you know you can change your LinkedIn URL?
If you have a janky URL on LinkedIn, you can look for opportunities to make it much more user-friendly with these, easy steps:
- Click the “Me” icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage
- Click “View Profile”
- On your profile page, click “Edit public profile and URL” on the right rail.
- Under “Edit Your Custom URL” in the right rail, click the icon to the right of your current URL (looks like a little pencil next to the address that looks like https://lnkd.in/gvVudK57).
- Type your new, custom URL in the text box.
- Click “Save”.
If you have had a profile for a long time and have been using your old URL in a bunch of places (like me), then it might not be the best idea to make this change. But if you are new to LinkedIn or haven’t used your LinkedIn URL in public a lot, then this change can be a great first step to making your LinkedIn profile more visible and easier for people to use.
