I have known Stu and Bret since 2008, after an RFP was distributed to companies interested in designing and implementing a new website for the non-profit organization for which I was working at the time. They submitted a comprehensive, detailed and very competitive bid. After narrowing it down to the final two contenders—and Relish was one of the two, I made the terrible mistake of choosing the other company. They did a fine job with the website, but the “extras” not included in the original proposal put us way over budget and, to complicate it even further, my original representative with the vendor I selected left the company shortly after we engaged their services and things began to fall apart for the duration of the project. Meanwhile, the team at Relish Studio were gracious and understanding with my decision, so much so that while in the middle of the rebuild of our website, I contracted with Relish to do some other side work for us, projects they continued to complete and update for us for the remaining six years at which I was employed there. Their knowledge of everything to do with online marketing strategies, concepts, branding, etc. is extensive, broad, impressive and way over my head, which adds additional layers of comfort and security anytime I have asked for their help with a project. They are, quite simply, second to none. My only regret with Relish Studio is that I didn’t hire them to do our website that time when they were crowned as the first runner-up, a mistake I do not intend to repeat in my new position. While their second-place honor didn’t come with the familiar line, “If, for any reason, the winner is unable to fulfill their duties as website strategist, designer and contractor, the honor will fall to the first runner-up who will assume the title and wear the crown,” they stepped up to the plate just as if they were the champion, each and every time with a solid and effective solution for every situation I would present to them. And in my mind, they are the champs. Always will be. Don’t make the same mistake I did. If at all possible, give the job to Relish. Let them be the ones who wear the crown (and the lovely sash as well).
